This fundraising concert for the "Enrique Henao Art Scholarship" for low-income Hispanic students to pursue a career at university level was presented by Centro Cultural Hispano Americano and the Spanish and Portuguese Studies, University of Washington. The artists featured were international guitarist, Enrique Henao with an array of world music, and a flamenco performance by Jacquelina's "Dances of Spain."
Centro Cultural Hispano Americano and the Spanish and Portuguese Studies UW also presented the first "Quimbaya Awards", a tribute to several Hispanic American who have contributed to the arts and arts education: Sara De Luis, Vice Consul Luis Fernando Esteban, Lauro Flores, Enrique Henao, Tomas Oliva, Ruben Trejo, Eduardo Mendonca, and Awilda Verdejo.
