After over 20 years of performing and recording, award-winning virtuoso guitarist Andre Feriante has left his musical mark on the classical, world music and fusion scenes. A cross-over artist in the vein of YoYo Ma or Sting, his performance program represents a bold but fluid musical fusion, featuring music from Bach to Leonard Cohen, flamenco improvisation to jazz standards, and even poetry by Federico Garcia Lorca, Rumi, and Feriante himself. Internationally acclaimed, hes performed at an Andres Segovia Master Class in Madrid, at Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia, and for the Jose Carreras Leukemia Foundation at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Carlos Mencia
Presented bySeattle Theater Group
Saturday, October 11, 2008 7:00pm
The Paramount Theatre
One of the most popular comedians in stand-up history is back in 2008 with his live tour At Close Range presented by Bud Light. Carlos Mencia takes comedy one step further as he combines unrelenting provocative nature with caustic, unabashed humor and pokes at racial stereotypes as well as modern day absurdities in a blunt and politically incorrect manner. Mencia demonstrates an extraordinary ability to connect with a diverse audience with his unique point-of-view, insightful perception, and exceptional ability to elicit laughs while making our brains tick.
This past year was hugely successful! Mencia starred opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in The Heartbreak Kid, experienced sold-out live performances throughout the U.S., and renewed his hit show Mind of Mencia for a fourth season during prime time on Comedy Central where he dishes out a new brand of groundbreaking comedy humor
